Manchester United goalkeeper Senne Lammens has praised manager Ruben Amorim for the way he has handled the intense pressure surrounding the team this season.

Speaking to The Sun, Lammens commended Amorim’s leadership, saying the Portuguese tactician has gone out of his way to protect his players from external criticism and media scrutiny.

“For me, he’s always the same. I haven’t been here as long, so maybe it’s different for other guys,” Lammens said.

“As a coach, he gets a lot of pressure you can feel it from the outside, you can read it, you can hear it. But he does his best and does really well to keep the pressure on himself and not on the team.

“He takes a lot of the pressure from us, and that’s also what the great managers do.”

The young goalkeeper also revealed how he personally copes with the challenges of playing for a club of United’s stature.

“I try my hardest to shut out the noise. I think I’m quite okay at this — trying to keep the noise out from outside,” he added.

Amorim, who took charge of Manchester United amid heightened expectations, has been praised for instilling confidence and composure in his squad despite a challenging campaign.
