The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, Jarrett Tenebe, says any commissioner who attends the State Executive Council meeting without wearing President Bola Tinubu’s signature cap will be suspended from the party.
Tenebe made the statement during a television interview, describing the act as indiscipline and insubordination to Governor Monday Okpebholo’s directive.
He insisted that the cap represents loyalty to the President and the APC’s commitment to delivering 3.5 million votes for Tinubu in the 2027 election.
“If you refuse to wear the cap as the governor has directed, we will suspend you. That is indiscipline and insubordination,” Tenebe said.
The Edo APC chairman added that anyone opposed to the move is not a true party member, emphasizing, “No Asiwaju cap, no Exco.”
