A collision between two Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) buses in the Mangoro area of Lagos left several passengers injured on Thursday morning.
The accident occurred along the BRT corridor on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway when one of the buses reportedly swerved to avoid a commercial vehicle that had unlawfully entered the restricted lane.
In the process, the bus crashed head-on into another BRT bus approaching from the opposite direction.
Emergency responders, assisted by bystanders, swiftly evacuated the injured passengers and transported them to nearby medical facilities for treatment.
Authorities confirmed that no fatalities were recorded in the incident.
LAGOS EYE NEWS reports that the traffic management officials later arrived at the scene to ease congestion and remove the damaged vehicles from the road.
