The Headquarters 3 Brigade of the Nigerian Army has reiterated its commitment to continuous transformational leadership training for its junior and middle cadre officers, describing it as a crucial component for enhancing combat efficiency across all aspects of military operations.

Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Ahmed Tukur, made this known on Thursday during the 3 Brigade Officers’ Training Day held at the Brigade Headquarters in Kano.

The event drew participants from the Nigerian Army, other sister services, and representatives of various security agencies in the state.

In his opening remarks, Brigadier General Tukur emphasized that the Nigerian Army places strong priority on the regular training and capacity development of its personnel.

He noted that the training, designed specifically for junior and middle cadre officers, highlights the vital role of consistent leadership development in driving combat effectiveness and overall security performance.

He stressed the need for officers and personnel of the military and other security agencies to demonstrate strong character, commitment, quick thinking, and sound decision-making abilities. According to him, addressing modern security challenges demands synergy, cooperation, and a whole-of-society approach involving all security stakeholders.

The Brigade Commander urged participants to maximize the learning opportunity, apply the knowledge gained, and share their experiences to strengthen operational effectiveness.

Brigadier General Tukur also reaffirmed the Brigade’s loyalty and commitment to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) for his continued support toward improving operational success. He further appreciated the resource persons who shared their expertise and insights during the training sessions.

The training featured two key presentations: “Regulatory Framework: A Counter Measure to Terrorism Funding in Africa” delivered by DSE James Ebiboloukemi, Head of Cyber Crime Section, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Kano Zonal Directorate; and “Building a Secure Financial Future: Strategies for a Comfortable Retirement” presented by Mr. Nuhu Jubril, Team Lead of First Asset Management, Kano Branch.
