Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim, has been named the Premier League Manager of the Month for October following a flawless run of victories that revitalized the Red Devils’ campaign.
The 3-4-2-1 specialist guided his team to three wins from three matches, drawing none, in a remarkable turnaround that lifted United from the bottom half of the table to sixth place.
Amorim was shortlisted alongside Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta, Aston Villa’s Unai Emery, and Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola for the October 2025 Barclays Manager of the Month award. The recognition marks the 40-year-old Portuguese tactician’s first monthly accolade since taking charge of Manchester United in November 2024.
The award comes after a challenging September, where pressure mounted on Amorim following a 3-1 defeat to Brentford. However, his team responded emphatically with a 2-0 home win over high-flying Sunderland, a dramatic 2-1 victory away to reigning champions Liverpool United’s first win at Anfield in nearly a decade and a commanding 4-2 triumph over Brighton & Hove Albion at Old Trafford.
These results not only secured nine points from a possible nine but also reignited belief among the United faithful, as the team now sits just two points off second-placed Bournemouth ahead of their clash with Nottingham Forest.
Amorim’s success makes him the first Manchester United manager to claim the Premier League’s monthly honour since Erik ten Hag achieved the feat in November 2023.
