Police Launch Search for Missing FRSC Officer, Daughter in Ogun State |LAGOS EYE NEWS


The Ogun State Police Command has begun an intensive search for a Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officer, SRC Lasisi Funmilayo Oluwamayokun, and her daughter, Sewa Lasisi, who have been declared missing in Abeokuta.

According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Omolola Odutola, the missing persons’ case was reported at the Kemta Divisional Police Headquarters on Tuesday, November 5, 2025, by a fellow FRSC officer serving in Abeokuta, in the company of the victims’ family members.

Preliminary information revealed that SRC Lasisi and her daughter left their residence at Obasanjo Hilltop Estate, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, on the morning of Sunday, November 2, 2025, and have not been seen or heard from since. Efforts to reach the officer via phone have reportedly been unsuccessful.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Ogunlowo, Ph.D., has ordered an immediate and thorough investigation to determine their whereabouts and ensure their safe return.

The Command is appealing to members of the public with any useful information to assist in the search by contacting the nearest police station or calling the following emergency numbers: 0800 000 9111, 0915 957 8888, or +234 803 860 9898.

The police assured that all information provided will be treated with the highest level of confidentiality.
