Congo head coach Sébastien Desabre says his team will give everything when they face Nigeria in Sunday’s final playoffs. Speaking after their win over Cameroon, Desabre praised his squad’s progress but acknowledged the challenge ahead.
“We beat a good Cameroon team who took a lot of risks at the end. And now there is Nigeria, one of the best teams in Africa,” he said. “These are teams ahead of us in the FIFA rankings, and we know we still have room for improvement.”
Desabre added that Congo is steadily growing in confidence: “We’re making progress. We took a good step today, and we will have another opportunity against Nigeria to show what we are capable of.”
Looking ahead to Sunday’s clash, he promised total commitment. “It will be another match, and whatever happens, we will throw ourselves into the game,” he said.
