Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has urged the 2,778 Corps Members of the 2025 Batch C deployed to the state to serve as agents of positive change throughout their service year.

The governor, represented by the Commissioner for Sports Development, Hon. Wasiu Isiaka, gave the charge during the Swearing-In Ceremony held at the Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu.

Addressing the newly inducted Corps Members, Governor Abiodun called on them to uphold integrity, discipline, and patriotism, stressing that their contributions would be invaluable to the state’s development. He encouraged them to actively participate in all camp activities, especially the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme, describing it as a pathway to self-reliance and productivity after their service year.

He also assured them of adequate security and reiterated the state government’s commitment to their welfare, noting that Ogun remains one of the most peaceful and conducive environments for national service.

In her remarks, the NYSC Ogun State Coordinator, Mrs. Olayinka Diana Nasamu, commended the Corps Members for their orderly conduct and quick adaptation to camp life. She revealed that of the total number registered, 2,295 Corps Members were deployed directly to Ogun State, while 484 were dislodged from Lagos to complete their orientation in the state.

Mrs. Nasamu emphasised that the Orientation Course is the first cardinal programme of the service year and provides the foundation for a successful and impactful service experience.
