The Ghana Police Service has confirmed the arrest of Samuel Amadotor, a blogger with Dklassgh.net, for allegedly publishing false information about the former Board Chairman of the National Communication Authority (NCA), Okatakye Boakye Danquah Ababio II.
In a statement released on Thursday, November 20, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) announced that the arrest was carried out with support from the National Signals Bureau (NSB).
The action followed a formal complaint lodged by Mr. Ababio, who accused the blogger of deliberately spreading fabricated allegations about him.
According to investigators, Amadotor admitted during interrogation that he posted the false claims.
He reportedly told police that he was recruited by an individual identified as Chairman Michael Yeboah to publish the misleading information.
The statement, signed by the CID’s Public Relations Officer, Chief Inspector Brigitte Babanawo, noted that efforts are underway to track down Chairman Yeboah to assist with the investigation.
Amadotor remains in police custody and is expected to appear before court on Friday, November 21, 2025.
