The Senior Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Biodun Fatoyinbo, has commended the confirmation of General Christopher Musa (rtd.) as Nigeria’s new Minister of Defence, describing the appointment as a significant call to national service.
In a message shared with the media, Fatoyinbo congratulated the former Chief of Defence Staff and expressed confidence in his capacity to deliver on the responsibilities of his new office.
“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to General Christopher Musa on the nomination as the Defence Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he said.
“This is a significant call to service, and I pray that God grants you wisdom, strength, and divine clarity as you take on this important responsibility. May your tenure contribute meaningfully to the peace, security, and progress of our nation. Congratulations once again, sir. God bless you,” he added.
LAGOS EYE NEWS reports that the Senate on Wednesday confirmed General Musa following a thorough screening exercise during which lawmakers assessed his military career and engaged him on key national security issues, including strategies for strengthening the country’s defence architecture.
While addressing the Senate shortly after his screening, the newly confirmed minister pledged to serve with utmost dedication and to justify the confidence reposed in him.
He further assured lawmakers of his commitment to enhancing Nigeria’s security framework and working toward restoring peace across the nation.
