The Oyo State House of Assembly has approved the revised terms of the €55 million French Treasury Concessional Loan for the State Healthcare Project VI, aligning with the recent approval granted by the National Assembly.
The endorsement followed a letter from Governor Seyi Makinde, which was read during plenary by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin.
Ogundoyin commended the Governor for what he described as a transparent and responsible approach to public financing, noting that such clarity strengthens public trust.
He added that the Assembly remains committed to supporting initiatives that have direct and meaningful impact on the lives of residents.
Lawmakers also reiterated their commitment to strict accountability and transparency in the management of the funds once disbursement commences.
It will be recalled that the Assembly had, in July, granted initial approval for the facility under highly concessional financing conditions.
