The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja Arusa I, has been conferred with an Honorary Doctorate Degree of Science by Lead City University, Ibadan.
The prestigious honour was bestowed on the monarch during the grand finale of the institution’s 18th Convocation Ceremonies.
While presenting the Degree of Doctor of Science, Public Administration (Honoris Causa), the Chancellor of Lead City University, Prof. Gabriel Ogunmola, said the award was in recognition of Oba Ladoja’s exemplary achievements and impactful leadership across various spheres.
Prof. Ogunmola described the Olubadan as an accomplished statesman, an exceptional public servant, and a revered custodian of Yoruba culture and tradition.
Also honoured at the 18th Convocation Ceremony were notable personalities who earned Doctor of Philosophy degrees, including the wife of the Oyo State Deputy Governor, Dr. Ajibola Lawal, and an elder brother to the Oyo State Governor, Barr. Muyiwa Makinde.
