The Kaduna State Government is ramping up efforts to secure major foreign investment for its proposed $200 million poultry project, as Governor Uba Sani continues a high-level working visit to Beijing, China.
As part of the visit, the governor toured key agricultural and livestock enterprises, including CP Foods Layers and Eggs Ltd, a major player in China’s poultry sector with a production capacity of nearly three million eggs per day.
The inspection, according to officials, is aimed at understudying large-scale production models that can support Kaduna’s drive to enhance food security, boost agro-industrial output, and generate sustainable employment.
Governor Sani also visited Beijing Doudian Yisheng Halal Meat Industry Co., Ltd, where discussions focused on strengthening Kaduna’s livestock value chain and attracting credible international partners to the state’s agricultural sector.
He acknowledged the support of the federal government delegation led by Joseph Tegba, and expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Government of the People’s Republic of China for their continued collaboration and commitment to advancing Nigeria’s agricultural development.
The visit forms part of Kaduna State’s broader strategy to deepen foreign investment inflows and position itself as a leading hub for agri-business in Nigeria.
