Ghana’s Cyber Security Authority (CSA), in collaboration with National Security operatives, has arrested 32 Nigerian nationals over alleged involvement in cybercrime activities, including romance scams.
The arrest followed a joint operation at a suspected cybercrime hub in Tuba, a town on the outskirts of Accra in the Greater Accra Region.
During the operation, security officers seized 31 laptop computers and 15 mobile phones believed to have been used in carrying out the alleged crimes.
The suspects have since been placed in police custody and are assisting with ongoing investigations, while the seized devices are undergoing forensic examination.
In a statement, the CSA said the operation forms part of sustained efforts to disrupt cybercrime networks and safeguard Ghana’s digital ecosystem.
The authority added that the government has pledged continued support for the campaign against cyber-related offences.
