Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Monday announced a minor cabinet reshuffle, appointing Professor Musibau Adetunji Babatunde as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
The appointment was contained in a statement issued by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju. According to the statement, the former SSG, Professor Olanike Kudirat Adeyemo, was relieved of her duties with immediate effect.
As part of the reshuffle, Barrister Temilolu Seun Ashamu was redeployed from the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources to the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.
Governor Makinde also nominated his Senior Special Assistant on Public Works, Ademola Aderinto, as a commissioner-designate, subject to screening and confirmation by the Oyo State House of Assembly.
In addition, the governor appointed Honourable Abiodun Adedoja as Special Adviser on Energy Security, while Kolawole Elijah Akanmu was named Senior Special Assistant on Budget and Economic Planning.
The reshuffle, according to the governor, is aimed at strengthening governance and improving service delivery across key sectors of the state.
