LAGOS, Nigeria — A member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Prince Nureni Ayinde Akinsanya, on Tuesday completed his registration with the ruling All Progressives Congress through the party’s newly introduced electronic membership system, as the APC begins a nationwide shift to digital record-keeping.
Akinsanya, who represents Mushin Constituency I and is widely known as OSMAK, carried out the e-registration at St. Martin’s Primary School on Damengoro Street in Ward B1 of Mushin, accompanied by party loyalists and local supporters.
Speaking after the exercise, the lawmaker urged party members and eligible residents aged 18 and above to participate fully in the digital registration process, describing it as a step toward strengthening the party’s internal operations.
He said the electronic system would reduce errors, enhance data security and improve the efficiency of managing party records, while also supporting future planning and organization.
According to Akinsanya, the initiative allows existing members to verify and update their details online and creates an entry point for new members seeking to join the party. He linked the exercise to what he described as the party’s broader “renewed hope” agenda for Nigeria.
He also commended officials overseeing the registration and encouraged them to remain committed to ensuring the success of the exercise.
The APC recently launched its e-membership registration nationwide, rolling out the program across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. Party leaders say the initiative is intended to promote a more inclusive, people-driven party structure and modernize its membership database.
