Two serious road traffic accidents have been reported at Otedola Bridge on the inward-bound lane towards Lagos, causing significant disruption.
According to a statement issued by the Police Rapid Response Squad (RRS) on Friday, the first incident involved a fully loaded truck which overturned, spilling its cargo across the roadway and blocking approximately 90 per cent of the carriageway.
A second crash occurred shortly afterwards, directly behind the initial accident, further worsening traffic conditions in the area.
Emergency services have been notified and are responding at the scene.
Motorists have been advised to exercise caution and consider alternative routes while recovery operations are ongoing.
