Lagos Commends Outstanding Teacher, Promises Continued Support for Educators |LAGOS EYE NEWS

The Tutor-General/Permanent Secretary, Education District II, Mr. Omotayo Layemo Sanni, has commended the South-West Zonal Best Teacher, Mr. Obafemi Peter Lawal, describing his achievement as a testament to the high standards of teaching in Lagos State.

Mr. Sanni gave the commendation on Wednesday while receiving the award-winning teacher at the District Headquarters in Maryland, Lagos.

He congratulated Mr. Lawal on the prestigious recognition, noting that the award reflected his dedication, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to quality education. The Tutor-General urged the recipient to sustain the culture of excellence and continue to serve as a worthy ambassador of Education District II and Lagos State.

Mr. Sanni also encouraged the awardee to leverage the recognition to further his personal and professional growth, emphasising the importance of continuous learning, capacity building, and self-improvement in maintaining excellence in the teaching profession.

Reaffirming the State Government’s commitment to improving the education sector, the Tutor-General assured that Lagos State would continue to support, motivate, and reward teachers who demonstrate exceptional performance and dedication to duty. He also called on other teachers in the District to emulate the discipline and commitment demonstrated by Mr. Lawal.

In his response, Mr. Lawal expressed appreciation to the Tutor-General for his leadership and guidance, pledging his continued dedication and service to the Lagos State Teaching Service.
