Bayer Leverkusen will still be without midfielder Ibrahim Maza for the Bundesliga match against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday, but defender Tim Oermann is available.
Maza is still sidelined due to knee issues.
“He’s unfortunately missing the game, it comes too early. We have to wait until next week,” coach Kasper Hjulmand said in a news conference on Friday.
Oermann, meanwhile, has just returned to the club after a loan spell at Austrian champions Sturm Graz.
“His first sessions here were very good, it was a good start. He is physically strong and very quick and will strengthen us in the coming months,” Hjulmand said.
Leverkusen are fifth in the table and Hjulmand vowed to push for better consistency after fluctuations in performance in recent matches.
In January, they claimed two Bundesliga wins, but also lost twice.
“We’ve analysed the games in detail, of course. We’ve come a long way, especially in our passing and dominant style of play. We want to be consistent and play our game over 90 minutes and put in a good performance,” he said.
