Lagos State has inaugurated Local Government Coordinators for the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, a group tasked with promoting the policies and initiatives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The movement, which brings together men and women committed to civic engagement, aims to educate the public on the government’s programmes and achievements.

At the inauguration ceremony, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu described the initiative as a vital channel for conveying the president’s “Renewed Hope Agenda” directly to communities across Lagos.

“The goal is to move from neighbourhood to neighbourhood, ensuring people understand the policies, the progress being made, and what it means for their daily lives,” Sanwo-Olu said.

He added that the initiative would allow officials to engage directly with citizens, listen to their concerns, and provide clear information on government work.

In a show of support for the programme, the governor also donated buses to each of the 20 newly inaugurated Ambassadors, representing all Local Government Areas in the state.

“Lagos will continue to play its part in supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda. We remain committed to staying connected to our people, strengthening trust, and keeping the conversation active at every level,” Sanwo-Olu said.

The launch signals a concerted effort by the ruling party to consolidate grassroots support ahead of the next general elections.
