Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Muslims in Nigeria and across the world on the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, urging them to renew their commitment to national unity and humanity.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onaunuga, the President called on Muslim faithful to uphold the values of piety, empathy, and unity emphasized during the holy month of Ramadan.
He further encouraged Muslims to extend acts of kindness to people of all faiths, stressing the importance of fostering unity and peaceful coexistence.
The President also urged Islamic leaders to use the occasion to offer prayers for peace, stability, and prosperity in Nigeria.
Similarly, First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, called on Nigerians to remain committed to promoting peace, unity, and mutual respect across religious and ethnic lines. She urged citizens to demonstrate compassion by supporting the less privileged in society.
She also prayed that Almighty Allah accepts the fasts and acts of charity observed during Ramadan and grants the faithful the strength to sustain the virtues cultivated during the period.
Mrs. Tinubu expressed hope that the blessings of Ramadan would renew national hope, strengthen unity, and deepen the collective resolve of Nigerians to work towards a more peaceful and prosperous country.
