Police in Ghana have arrested 186 suspects in a large-scale operation targeting organized criminal networks across the country.
According to authorities, the suspects include 86 Ghanaians, 96 Nigerians, and four Togolese nationals.
The operation targeted groups suspected of involvement in human trafficking, sexual exploitation, drug trafficking, illegal possession of firearms, and other related criminal activities.
Police said several suspected victims were rescued during the raids, including minors who have since been placed under protective care.
The foreign nationals arrested are currently being processed by Ghana’s immigration authorities, with some expected to undergo repatriation procedures.
Authorities added that investigations are ongoing as security agencies work to identify and apprehend other members of the suspected criminal networks.
