The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has announced that Nigerians can now download their official National Identification Number (NIN) Slip free of charge through the NINAuth App, offering a faster and more convenient alternative to physical collection.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Commission said the new service eliminates the need for long queues and processing fees, enabling users to access their verified NIN Slip with just a few clicks.
According to NIMC, the digital NIN Slip is officially verified, issued directly through the NINAuth App, and accepted for official identity verification across relevant institutions.
The Commission added that the platform also provides users with seamless access to other integrated identity services.
NIMC said the initiative is aimed at improving access to identity documents while reducing the time, cost, and inconvenience associated with obtaining an official NIN Slip.
