The Oyo State chapter of the ACCORD has reaffirmed its commitment to the 2027 general election following a strategic meeting attended by the party’s governorship candidate, Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat.
The meeting, held at the party’s state secretariat, brought together members of the State Executive Committee, chairmen of the party’s 33 local government chapters, and the party’s candidates for the House of Assembly, House of Representatives, and Senate.
According to the party, Hamzat’s attendance underscored the unity and resolve of ACCORD to provide purposeful leadership for the people of Oyo State ahead of the 2027 elections.
Party leaders said the gathering focused on reviewing the party’s roadmap, strengthening internal coordination, and consolidating its political structure in preparation for the polls.
The leadership also urged members to put the party’s primary election process behind them and embrace unity as campaigns gather momentum.
The party expressed confidence that it remains well-positioned to offer credible leadership and people-oriented governance, while calling on members, supporters, and stakeholders to remain committed to securing victory in the 2027 general election.
