The Executive Chairman of Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government, Hon. Olalekan Olu Akindipe, has inspected ongoing infrastructure projects across the council area as part of efforts to assess the progress and quality of work.
During the inspection, Akindipe visited the motorable bridge, drainage and road construction projects at Mokoya Street and Ajasa Street.
According to the council boss, the projects have exceeded 75 per cent completion and are expected to be commissioned during activities marking the chairman’s one-year anniversary in office.
The chairman also inspected the ongoing construction of the Akere Primary Health Centre (PHC), described as a world-class healthcare facility. Construction work at the site is said to be progressing steadily, with the project expected to be completed and commissioned on or before October 2026 to enhance healthcare delivery in the local government area.
The inspection tour was led by the Council Engineer, Mrs. Feyi Oliyide, alongside officials of the Works Department, who provided technical updates on the status of the various projects.
Speaking during the tour, Akindipe reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to delivering durable and people-centred infrastructure aimed at improving residents’ quality of life.
He added that the projects align with the Renewed Hope Agenda and the council’s development priorities.
