Pakistan National Assembly Speaker Condoles Qatar Over Death of Father Amir|LAGOS EYE NEWS




The Speaker of Pakistan’s National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has extended his heartfelt condolences to the Speaker of Qatar’s Shura Council, Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim, following the death of the Father Amir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

In a condolence letter dated July 12, 2026, Sadiq described the late Father Amir as a visionary statesman whose leadership transformed Qatar and elevated its global standing.

The Pakistani lawmaker said the late Sheikh Hamad’s contributions to peace, dialogue and development would continue to be remembered not only in Qatar but across the region and the wider Muslim world.

Sadiq also acknowledged the strong relationship between the legislatures of Pakistan and Qatar, noting that the ties had grown into a valued bond of friendship beyond formal diplomatic engagement.

He expressed sympathy to the people of Qatar, members of the Shura Council, and the bereaved family, praying that Almighty Allah grants the late Father Amir eternal peace and gives them strength and patience to bear the loss.

The condolence message was addressed to the Speaker of the Shura Council, Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim, in Doha, Qatar.
