An allegation of vote buying by agents of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has sparked an uproar at Ward 4, Unit 13, in Ejigbo Local Government Area of Osun State.

Youths at the polling unit reportedly accused APC agents of attempting to induce voters with cash, with money allegedly seized during the confrontation.

The polling unit is said to be associated with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate, Najeem Salam, who is backed by former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola.

The development reportedly triggered tension among voters and raised fresh concerns about the conduct and integrity of the ongoing governorship election.

Authorities and INEC officials are being urged to act swiftly to ensure voters can freely exercise their franchise without intimidation, inducement or interference.
