Sanwo-Olu Visits APC Secretariat Ahead of LG Poll Primaries, Commend Leaders|LAGOS EYE NEWS

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Friday paid a visit to the All Progressives Congress (APC) secretariat in Acme, Ogba, as the party gears up for its primary election scheduled for Saturday to select candidates for the forthcoming Local Government polls.

LAGOS EYE NEWS reports that the visit comes amid preparations for the crucial primaries, which will take place at the party secretariat.

Governor Sanwo-Olu said his presence was aimed at fostering closer engagement with party leaders and members, while also reaffirming the party’s commitment to a peaceful and transparent electoral process in line with the guidelines of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC).

Speaking via his official social media handle, the governor expressed confidence in the party’s readiness for the election.

“Our party has a strong legacy of progress and responsible leadership, and I have no doubt that we are poised for another resounding victory in the upcoming council elections,” he said.

Sanwo-Olu also commended the efforts of the APC Electoral Committee and party executives in organizing the primaries, emphasizing the importance of upholding public trust and leading with integrity.

“I’m also deeply appreciative of the work done so far by the APC Electoral Committee and our party executives in preparing for this exercise. Together, we can uphold the trust our people have placed in us and continue to lead with purpose and integrity.

The Lagos State Local Government elections are a key part of the democratic process in the state, as they determine leadership at the grassroots level on July 12th, 2025.
