As the Lagos State local government election progresses across the state, key stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have lauded the peaceful and orderly conduct of the exercise in their respective constituencies.
Hon. Gbolahan Yishawu, who represents Eti-Osa Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly, expressed satisfaction with the process after casting his vote at polling unit 003, Saint Georges Primary School, Falomo.
“From the booths I’ve visited, LASIEC officials are on ground, and everything is very calm. People are coming in to vote and leaving seamlessly. I haven’t seen any rancour or violence so far,” Yishawu stated.
He observed that while the day was still unfolding, more voters were expected to turn out, and he commended the presence of security personnel. The lawmaker expressed optimism about the APC’s chances in the election.
“By God’s grace, our party, the All Progressives Congress, will carry the day. After voting, I’m confident that we’ll achieve victory and continue to deliver good governance and development, starting from the local level,” he added.

Similarly, the outgoing Chairman of Ikoyi-Obalende LCDA, Hon. Fuad Atanda Lawal, who voted at 25 Ojo Ajeniya Street, Obalende, applauded the smooth coordination of the exercise.
“It’s been a peaceful process. Everything is going smoothly. I must commend LASIEC—they’ve done well. It’s transparent and calm, and the people are coming out to vote,” Lawal remarked.
He stressed the importance of maintaining orderliness in the democratic process and expressed hope that the election results would reflect the will of the people.
“As you can see, there’s no chaos. Everything is peaceful, and we’re happy about it,” he concluded.
The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) is supervising the elections across the state’s 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs).
