LAGOS EYE NEWS – The Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development has rescued a mentally challenged woman in the Ogba area of Agege, following a public outcry on social media.

In a statement released by Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mobolaji Ogunlende said the Ministry’s Rescue Team was deployed to the scene to ensure the woman received immediate assistance.

According to him, She has since been taken to one of the Ministry’s care centres for proper medical attention and rehabilitation.

The Ministry urged members of the public to continue reporting similar cases that require government intervention, by calling 0913 205 5075.

“We remain committed to ensuring social stability and the well-being of all residents in Lagos State,” he stated.
