A final-year student of Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, identified as Idris Aremu Agboluaje, has reportedly died following a road accident while attempting to resolve an issue related to his first semester examination.
Agboluaje, a 400-level Business Education student, was said to have been denied entry into the examination hall for allegedly failing to present his student identity card, according to eyewitness accounts. Sources said he was on his way back towards the school gate at high speed when the accident occurred, leading to his death.
The tragic incident has thrown the university community into mourning, with students and staff expressing shock over the sudden loss.
In a statement, the Association of Business Educators of Nigeria (ABEN), KWASU Chapter, described Agboluaje’s death as a painful loss to the department and the academic community.
“Our hearts go out to his parents, family members, friends and classmates during this difficult time,” the association stated while extending condolences to the bereaved family and colleagues.
