Ambassador Esther Waringa, a presidential candidate in the Republic of Kenya, has declared that no regime change can be successfully advanced through war, urging global leaders to uphold sovereignty and international law amid rising tensions linked to the US–Israel conflict.

Waringa made the remarks during a courtesy visit to Ali Golampour, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to a statement from the Presidential Communications Unit, the Kenyan presidential hopeful delivered what she described as a “clear and principled message,” stressing that military aggression undermines global stability and sets a dangerous precedent in international relations.

She emphasized that leaders across the world must respect the sovereignty of nations, adhere strictly to international law, and safeguard human life under all circumstances.

“May peace govern the world. Heart-led governments are all we desire,” Waringa stated, calling for diplomacy and dialogue over armed confrontation.

During the visit, Waringa also signed the Book of Condolences and paid tribute to the late Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, following his reported passing.

She expressed profound respect for his service and conveyed Kenya’s sincere condolences to the Government and people of Iran during what she described as a period of national mourning.

The visit comes amid heightened global attention on the ongoing US–Israel war and growing calls from political leaders worldwide for de-escalation and peaceful resolution of conflicts.
