NSCDC deploys 2,350 officers in Kwara ahead of Eid-el-Fitr|LAGOS EYE NEWS

The Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has deployed 2,350 operatives to ensure adequate security during the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

This was disclosed in a statement issued in Ilorin today by the Command’s spokesperson, Ayoola Michael Shola.

The State Commandant, Bala Bawa Bodinga, said the deployment covers all sixteen local government areas, targeting flashpoints and other vulnerable locations across the state.

He added that the operation is intelligence-driven, with directives to Area Commanders and Divisional Officers to intensify patrols, strengthen surveillance, and maintain proactive response measures.

The command also assured residents of collaboration with other security agencies and local vigilantes to guarantee effective security coverage across the state.

It further urged members of the public to remain vigilant, report suspicious activities, warning that anyone attempting to disrupt public peace during the celebration would be dealt with decisively.
