The Lagos State Examinations Board has announced the commencement of the collection of Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) e-Certificates for candidates who participated in the examinations in 2018, 2022 and 2023.
The Board also announced the availability of the 2024 e-Attestation certificates for candidates who participated in the 2024 Placement Test through the Continuous Assessment Score (CAS).
In a statement, the Board said the certificates and e-Attestations are now ready for collection by eligible schools and stakeholders.
It said the development was part of its commitment to efficient service delivery and the sustenance of the credibility, reliability and integrity of the state’s examination and certification processes.
According to the Board, eligible schools are required to present the original payment receipt for the examination and the examination results issued by the Lagos State Examinations Board at the point of collection.
The collection exercise will commence on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at the Lagos State Examinations Board.
The Board clarified that only school owners are authorised to collect the certificates on behalf of their respective schools.
It warned that collection by proxy is strictly prohibited, stressing that the measure is aimed at safeguarding the integrity of the certification process, preventing unauthorised collection and ensuring proper accountability.
The Board therefore urged all eligible schools to comply with the stipulated requirements and make the necessary arrangements to collect their certificates and e-Attestations.
