The Osun State Amotekun Corps has rescued a woman and her children who were found wandering along the Osogbo–Gbongan Road and is appealing to members of the public to help reunite them with their family.
According to a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the Osun Amotekun Corps, CSA Yusuf Idowu Abass, the woman and her children were rescued by Amotekun patrol officers on Thursday night.
The patrol officers reportedly found the woman along the road with her children and immediately took them to the Amotekun office in Osogbo for safety and further assistance.
The Corps said the woman has so far been unable to provide clear answers to questions concerning her identity, her family or where she resides.
It was also reported that the woman has been unable to feed the baby who was with her, raising concern about the immediate welfare and safety of the children.
The Amotekun Corps is therefore calling on anyone who may recognise the woman, know her relatives or have useful information about her identity and family to contact the Amotekun office in Osogbo.
The Corps urged residents and social media users to share the information widely, saying such assistance could help identify the woman’s family and facilitate the safe reunification of the woman and her children with their relatives.
