The Mushin community in Lagos State has been thrown into mourning following the death of Alhaji Chief Taoreed Faronbi, popularly known as Baba Alado.
Faronbi was a prominent socialite, land developer and influential community figure who played a significant role in the social and political affairs of Mushin.
He served as the Olori Ebi (head of family) of the Alagbeji Royal Family in Papa Ajao, Mushin, and was widely regarded as a major stakeholder in Lagos grassroots politics and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Reacting to the death, the Chairman of the Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Public Accounts (Local), Hon. (Prince) Nureni Ayinde Akinsanya, OSMAK, who represents Mushin Constituency I, expressed his condolences to the deceased’s family and the Mushin community.
In a condolence message, Akinsanya described Baba Alado as a respected community leader whose courage, wisdom, contributions and commitment to the community would be greatly remembered.
“On behalf of my family and Mushin Constituency 1, I extend my deepest condolences to the immediate family, loved ones, Mushin community and Isolo community for this great loss,” Akinsanya said.
He prayed for the repose of the deceased’s soul and asked God to grant the bereaved family, as well as the Mushin and Isolo communities, the strength and fortitude to bear the loss.
“May Almighty God grant him eternal rest and give the family, the Mushin community and the Isolo community the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” he added.
Akinsanya concluded his condolence message with traditional words of farewell, saying: “Adieu, Eegun Buruku, A bi tapoli leyin. Dada Fiti-noti, Dada Ijogbon. May your soul rest in perfect peace.”
The family members, community leaders, associates and political stakeholders across Mushin and other parts of Lagos State mourn the death of the prominent community leader.
