WTD: Gov AbdulRazaq declares Monday work-free for teachers |LAGOS EYE NEWS

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved Monday as a work-free day for teachers to commemorate the World Teachers’ Day (WTD) in the state.

The holiday coincides with the October 5, 2026 day of the WTD.

“His Excellency extends his best wishes to teachers across the length and breadth of the state whose contributions to human capital development is acknowledged at all times. He thanks our teachers for their efforts and resilience,” according to a9 statement by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary Mashood Abdulrafiu Agboola.

“He reassures them of his administration’s commitment to the welfare of the teachers and of every Kwaran. The Governor wishes all our teachers more rewarding and prosperous service to humanity.”
