The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has expressed shock and sorrow over the death of the immediate past Corps Marshal, Dauda Ali Biu.
Mohammed, in a condolence letter personally signed and addressed to the Biu family, described the deceased as a distinguished officer whose career was marked by dedication, discipline and an enduring commitment to public service.
He said Biu’s death was a painful loss to both the FRSC and Nigeria, noting that his contributions to the Corps would remain part of its institutional legacy.
Biu joined the FRSC in its formative years and rose through the ranks to become the seventh substantive Corps Marshal, serving from July 2022 to May 2024.
According to Mohammed, Biu’s years of service demonstrated a profound understanding of the Corps’ mandate and a steadfast commitment to improving road safety administration, operational effectiveness and institutional development.
The Corps Marshal added that the late officer’s contributions to the growth and development of the FRSC would continue to inspire the organisation as it builds on the foundations laid by its past leadership.
Mohammed prayed that Allah would forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and grant him Aljannah Firdaus.
