The Convener of the Tinubu Must Stay Movement, Hon. Okeowo Abiola Adeoye, popularly known as ALAMALA says the group is targeting at least two million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Lagos State, Dr Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat, in the 2027 general elections.
Okeowo made the declaration on Saturday during a press conference in Mushin, Lagos, where he outlined the movement’s plans for grassroots mobilisation and campaign activities ahead of the elections.
He said the group had begun mobilising supporters across Lagos State’s 57 local government areas and local council development areas, adding that its network of supporters had been working at the grassroots for several years.
“Nothing can change our position that Tinubu must stay in 2027. It is 4+4, and nothing will change that,” he said.
Okeowo said the movement was confident that Tinubu would secure a second term, citing his leadership experience and political record.
He also announced plans for a solidarity walk scheduled for 21 November, urging students, civil servants, market leaders, youths and other residents to participate.
According to him, the march will involve supporters from across the state’s 57 local government and local council development areas, and the Walk starts from Maryland under bridge to Gani fawehinmi freedom park. “We are calling on Nigerian students, civil servants, market leaders and other stakeholders to come out in support of Asiwaju Tinubu on November 21, 2026 ” he said.
The convener also disclosed that the movement had launched a Google online registration platform
( https//:tinubumuststay ) to coordinate participation and establish a database of supporters expected at the solidarity walk.
He said the platform would help organisers determine the number of participants and improve coordination across the state.
On the movement’s electoral target, Okeowo said it was working towards securing no fewer than two million votes for Tinubu, Hamzat and other APC candidates in Lagos.
He further pledged the group’s support for APC candidates contesting seats in the Lagos State House of Assembly and the House of Representatives.
They include Hon. Nureni Akinsanya, representing Mushin Constituency I; Hon. Kazeem Olayinka, representing Mushin Constituency II; and House of Representatives candidate Hon. Adeyemi Alli.
“All hands are on deck, with strategies to showcase the work all our candidates have done in their communities and mobilise support for them before, during and after the elections,” he said.
Okeowo expressed confidence that the APC candidates would emerge victorious, saying the movement would intensify its grassroots engagement to secure support for the party’s candidates.
The Tinubu Must Stay Movement is expected to expand its mobilisation activities across Lagos State as political parties and support groups begin preparations for the 2027 general elections.
