The Kwara State Governor mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has hailed the appointment of Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari as the new Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement issued on today by his chief press Secretary Rafiu Ajakaye the Governor described Ojulari’s appointment a native if Oke Ode in Ifelodun local government area of the state as a “big deal” for Kwara State and its people, coming just days after the President also named Senator Ibrahim Yahya Oloriegbe as Chairman of the National Health Insurance Authority.
Governor AbdulRazaq expressed confidence in Engr. Ojulari’s ability to deliver on the mandate given to him, stating that his tenure will bring unprecedented success to the nation’s oil sector.
Similarly, the Executive Chairman of Ifelodun Local Government, Hadji Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf, has also congratulated Ojulari, describing his appointment as a well-deserved recognition of his dedication and expertise in the oil and gas industry.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Abdulquadri Jimba, the Chairman commended President Tinubu and Governor AbdulRazaq for ensuring that Kwara State continues to have strong representation at the national level.
He also urged the newly appointed Group CEO to remain a worthy ambassador of Ifelodun Local Government and Kwara State, praying for divine guidance and success in his new role.
Ojulari’s appointment has been widely celebrated in Kwara State, with stakeholders expressing optimism that his leadership at NNPCL will positively impact the country’s oil sector.
