Customs Hands Over 43,641 Live Cartridges To Small, Light Weapons Agency|LAGOS EYE NEWS

The Oyo-Osun Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has handed over 43,641 pieces of live cartridges concealed in 45 bags to the Southwest zonal office of the National Center for the Control of Small and Light weapons in Ibadan.

Acting Area Controller for the Command, Wale Moses-Adewole, in a media interaction, attributed the achievement to strategic collaboration with sister agencies in sustained efforts at suppressing smuggling activities and the protection of the national economy.

The Acting Controller explained that the Command, under his watch, made significant seizures with a cumulative duty paid value of over N2 billion.

Confiscated items include foreign parboiled rice, used tyres, premium motor spirit, cannabis Sativa, among other banned goods.
