Iran had declared the blockade of the Trait of Hormuz, restricting the movement of vessels conveying crude oil across Asia and Europe.
However, Iran said only Chinese ships can pass through the Strait of Hormuz, calling it athat “gesture of thanks” for Beijing’s support.
All other vessels are banned, and Tehran warned any unauthorized crossing will be met with military action.
There are concerns that if the blockade is sustained, the global economy will suffer setback.
However, there is doubt if Iran has the capability to enforce the blockade.
