The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has announced plans to arraigned former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, alongside two other individuals, over multiple alleged offences.
According to a statement issued on Monday by John Okor Odey, Head of Media and Public Communications said the former governor and one Joel Adoga are scheduled to appear before the Federal High Court sitting in Kaduna on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.
The case, marked FHC/KD/73/2026, includes charges bordering on alleged conversion and possession of public property, as well as money laundering.
In a related development, the ICPC has also filed a separate case against El-Rufai and Amadu Sule before a Kaduna State High Court. The case, with charge number KDHIKAD/ICPC/01/26, involves allegations such as abuse of office, fraud, intent to commit fraud, and conferring undue advantage.
The anti-corruption agency disclosed that both charges were filed on March 18, 2026. It added that a date for arraignment in the state high court would be communicated in due course.
The Commission further confirmed that El-Rufai has been duly served with the charges.
Reaffirming its stance, the ICPC emphasized its commitment to due process and adherence to the rule of law in all its operations.
