The Lagos State Government has entered into a strategic partnership with a United Kingdom-based firm, Estar, to introduce modern digital learning platforms and infrastructure across public primary and secondary schools in the state.
The agreement was formalised through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as part of efforts to enhance education delivery and equip students with future-ready skills.
Speaking at the event, Sanwo-Olu said the collaboration would provide students with access to curriculum-based digital tools designed to improve critical thinking, communication, decision-making, leadership, and artificial intelligence (AI) skills.
He added that the initiative would also strengthen students’ reading ability, comprehension, confidence, and overall classroom participation.
The governor further noted that the state government would invest in capacity building for teachers to ensure effective utilisation of the new digital tools.
According to him, the move is aimed at delivering more engaging lessons and improving learning outcomes, while preparing students to compete in a rapidly evolving global environment.
