The Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu, has approved the appointment of Commissioner of Police Bode Ojajuni as the new Commissioner of Police for Ogun State.
Ojajuni, a seasoned officer who joined the Nigeria Police Force in 1996, brings nearly three decades of policing experience to his new role. Over the years, he has served in several states, including Lagos State, Delta State, Adamawa State, and Ogun State, where he held key operational and administrative positions.
His career portfolio includes roles such as Area Commander, operations at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), and assignments linked to INTERPOL.
Prior to his latest appointment, Ojajuni served as Commissioner of Police at the Nigeria National Central Bureau of INTERPOL, where he gained significant international policing experience.
Ojajuni’s service record has been marked by several recognitions. He was named Area Commander of the Year in 2021 and has received commendations from INTERPOL Africa as well as the CRAN for outstanding performance.
With his extensive experience and global exposure, stakeholders say his leadership is expected to strengthen policing and security operations across Ogun State.
