Power Minister, Adelabu Apologises Over Outages, Promises Improvements|LAGOS EYE NEWS

Nigeria’s Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has apologised to citizens following a series of electricity outages across the country.

In a statement, Adelabu acknowledged the disruptions and said the government was taking steps to improve power supply.

He attributed the situation partly to ongoing challenges in gas supply, which have affected electricity generation nationwide.

The minister said the federal government, under President Bola Tinubu, is implementing reforms aimed at stabilising the sector. According to him, some of these measures are already beginning to show results.

He added that authorities are working on both immediate and long-term solutions to ensure more reliable electricity for households, businesses and industries.

Adelabu urged Nigerians to remain patient, describing the current difficulties as part of a broader effort to overhaul the power sector.

The minister also pointed to the president’s recent engagements in the United Kingdom, which he said are expected to help attract investment into Nigeria’s power infrastructure.
