Tinubu to Commission Key Lagos Infrastructure Projects |LAGOS EYE NEWS

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to commission a series of major infrastructural projects delivered by the Lagos State Government under the leadership of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The commissioning, which underscores ongoing efforts to improve urban mobility, economic growth, and public service delivery, will feature several landmark projects across the state.

Top on the list is the Opebi–Mende–Ojota Link Bridge, an iconic transport project designed to ease traffic congestion and provide alternative routes for motorists commuting through key areas such as Toyin, Allen, Opebi, Ojota, and Maryland.

Also scheduled for commissioning is the Lagos State Geographic Information Service (LAGIS) Building located in Alausa. The facility is expected to enhance land administration by digitizing records, streamlining title registration, and supporting the development of a modern property market.

Another major project is the Lagos State Multi-Agency Complex, a multi-storey development within the State Secretariat in Alausa. The complex, comprising four blocks on a 2.01-hectare site, is designed to accommodate additional government parastatals and improve administrative efficiency.

In the Lekki axis, the President will commission the Mid-Level Agro Food Hub in Abijo, along the Lekki-Epe Expressway. Built on 23,000 square metres of land, the hub features modern storage facilities, ample parking space, and large trading areas aimed at boosting food distribution and agro-commerce.

The programme will also include the unveiling of the fully regenerated Tolu Schools Complex in Ajegunle. The upgraded educational facility comprises 36 public schools—31 secondary and five primary—with new classroom blocks, improved road access, sports facilities, and ICT laboratories.

Additionally, the Maracana Stadium in Ajegunle will be commissioned. The facility features 19 mini football pitches and is expected to promote grassroots sports development in one of Lagos’ most densely populated communities.

The commissioning of these projects reflects the Lagos State Government’s commitment to infrastructure development and improved quality of life for residents.
