Zambia’s Vice President Escapes Unhurt After Military Helicopter Crash |LAGOS EYE NEWS




Zambia’s Vice President, Mutale Nalumango, and seven other passengers escaped unhurt after a military helicopter crashed shortly after take-off from a campaign rally in Nakonde, near the Tanzania border.

According to Zambian authorities, all eight people on board survived the crash without sustaining any injuries. Nalumango said the helicopter went down moments after leaving the ground.

The aircraft was reportedly extensively damaged in the incident, but all occupants were safely evacuated. The Vice President later underwent a precautionary medical examination and was discharged in good health.

Authorities have confirmed that an investigation will be launched to determine the cause of the helicopter crash.
