Dressed in red from head to toe, dozens of women and men gathered in Görlitzer Park in Berlin to celebrate an old hit by Kate Bush on Saturday.
Wearing long dresses, they danced together to the 1978 song “Wuthering Heights” and celebrated the annual event “The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever.”
The global dance tradition has been celebrated for years, with Kate Bush fans gathering in various cities around the world, from Australia to England, for flash mobs in red floor-length outfits to re-enact the expressive dance from Bush’s 1970s music video.
People were already dancing in Potsdam at the start of July.
Her song borrows its title and subject from the classic novel of the same name by Emily Brontë (1818-48). It is seen as one of the most unusual debut singles in pop music history – a chart-topper based on a Gothic ghost story published in the Victorian era.
