The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new system that allows candidates to verify and upload their O’Level results from the comfort of their homes.
The initiative will initially cover results issued by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), according to the board.
In a statement, JAMB spokesperson, Dr Fabian Benjamin, said the new service would provide candidates with a convenient alternative, particularly during periods of high patronage and network challenges at Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres.
He said the initiative was part of JAMB’s efforts to make its services easier, faster, safer and more convenient, while reducing unnecessary visits to CBT centres, long queues and manual processes.
The new system is also designed to address challenges associated with the manual uploading of O’Level results, including misplaced or mixed-up paper results, unverified or fraudulent certificates, as well as errors in the entry of subjects and grades.
Under the new arrangement, JAMB’s e-Facility platform has been integrated with examination bodies, allowing candidates’ results to be verified directly against official records before being downloaded.
The board said the development would improve the accuracy and security of O’Level result submissions while making the admission process more seamless for candidates.
